4 Holiday DIY Decor Ideas
To save precious time this holiday season, combine Thanksgiving and Christmas decorating into 1 project. Here are some great ideas for DIY decor:
Make a Fruity Wreath. Wrap lemon leaves around a wreath frame, fastening them with floral wire. Use a hot glue gun to attach artificial pears, oranges and nuts together. Then use floral wire to secure the fruit and nuts to the bottom of the wreath. This “fruity wreath” is easy to do and makes a magnificent holiday addition to your front door or your mantel.
Make a Double Vase. Place a small vase into a large vase. Fill in the area between the 2 vases with an assortment of nuts. Add water to the small vase along with flowers and greenery. This is a perfect touch for Thanksgiving. You can add some ornaments around the vases when it is closer to Christmas.
Plant Baby Norfolk Pines. Use deep, decorative bowls to plant baby Norfolk Pines. Cover the soil with nuts or ornaments to display on your mantel or bookcase. Watch how quickly the pines grow from Thanksgiving to Christmas!
Combine Fruit, Greenery and Pinecones. Place various sized white candles atop a beveled edge mirror. For Thanksgiving, arrange with mini pumpkins; when Christmas is near, add pinecones.
