To avoid overexposure to the sun, wear wide-brimmed hats, long sleeves, sunglasses, and sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or more.
Put safety first.
Follow instructions on chemicals and lawn equipment.
Sharpen tools carefully.
Keep all chemicals, tools and equipment out of children’s reach.
Know your limits in the heat.
Drink more fluids, avoiding high sugar drinks and alcohol.
Be aware that headache, dizziness and nausea are signs of heat-related illnesses
To help keep you energized, eat healthy foods.
Enjoy the benefits of physical activity.
