Yummy Creole tomatoes are ready are for the summer! To help celebrate the Creole tomato, join the festivities at the 32nd annual Creole Tomato Festival beginning at 10 AM on June 9 and ending on June 10 at 7 PM. The annual festival is presented by the French Market Corporation and takes place along the entire French Market District from St. Peter to Barracks Streets. The French Market first opened in 1791 as a Native American trading post. It is now the oldest public market in the U.S. At this year’s festival, in addition to all of the tomatoes, you can expect 2 stages for live music, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities and much more.
