Easter Parading

Easter Sunday is April 16, 2017, and if you are looking for something special to do, head to the French Quarter where you can see a wonderful morning parade. The Historic French Quarter Easter Parade begins at 9:45 AM at Antoine’s Restaurant and proceeds to St. Louis Cathedral for 11 AM Mass. The parade is composed of mule drawn carriages and old convertibles that slowly wind through the French Quarter, handing out trinkets along the way. After Mass, parade participants go to Jackson Square, where they show off their Easter bonnets, baskets and other finery. Everyone returns to Antoine’s later that day when awards for the best attire are given out.

For additional information on this and other scheduled Easter parades, please see:  http://www.neworleansonline.com/neworleans/seasonal/easter.html.
