Folsoms Global Wildlife Center Africa In Louisiana
If you are looking for family-friendly activities that are both fun and educational, check out Folsom’s Global Wildlife Center at 26389 Highway 40 in Folsom. This is a 900-acre free roaming safari park where you will see camels, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, bison and more. Folsom’s Global Wildlife Park is the largest, totally free-roaming wildlife preserve in the US and has over 4,000 threatened and endangered animals from all over the world. Accompanied by a safari guide, you will travel along the park for a one and a half hour guided Safari Wagon tour and will experience hands on activities such as feeling the fur of a bison or wiggling a camel’s hump. The knowledgeable guides will talk with you about each animal, explaining its habits and habitats, and you will be encouraged to pet and feed the animals. In fact, everyone receives a souvenir feeding cup with food to feed the animals during the safari. You should expect to get eye-to-eye with the animals! To learn more about the park, please see the link that follows: http://www.louisiananorthshore.com/things-to-do/outdoors/global-wildlife-center/#.
