Come enjoy the Rockin’ the Rails free concerts held every Thursday from 5-7:30 PM during April and October at the Covington Trailhead at 419 N. New Hampshire Street. The Covington Trailhead is the beginning of a 31-mile paved trail called The Tammany Trace which connects Covington, Abita Springs, Mandeville, Lacombe and Slidell. The Trailhead is located within walking distance to downtown and is designed to resemble an old-fashioned railroad station with a large clock tower. There is a grassy knoll area where huge groups of people stake out their spots hours before the concert!   In addition, the area includes a museum/visitors’ center and a small movie theater. The Covington Trailhead is also the location for many other events including Wednesday’s Farmers Market and the Covington Art Market.
