The Northshore is excited for Gio's Villa Vancheri, or Gio's for short,  as they move to a new location! After leasing 10 years in his current location on E. Causeway, Gio will now have a permanent location at 690 Lafitte St. With the old location projected to close at the end of May, the new restaurant, on the trace in Mandeville, is scheduled to re-open in the beginning of June.

The two story building formerly housed Opal Basil and, now, Gio is putting his European flair with a downstairs tapas/antipasta bar and an upstairs restaurant, which includes a veranda, will feature Gio's signature authentic Italian cuisine that has drawn a serious following.

A resident of Mandeville, Gio and wife lovely wife Yoko, are parents to one Tulane student and one recent Green Wave graduate! Congrats on the move and we wish you much success!
