How to Get Ready to Sale Your Home

Image title

There is so much to do when you are selling your home.   Where should I start?  It's always important to start with the basics.   First clean out and get rid of the things that you don't use or that are broken.  Then start boxing up some items to help declutter your home.  You have to box up everything in the home eventually, you can reduce the over crowded look by boxing some things early.  For example if it is winter, you can box up your summer clothes and toys and store them in your attic or rent a storage unit.  A house shows better if the closets are half empty as opposed to over flowing.  Your cabinets should be VERY organized and not staked to the max.  Too much furniture is not good either.  You may have to take some furniture out of your home and store it somewhere else.  The idea is to make the home as open as possible without being empty.  The home should be clean.  Dust the fans, furniture, and clean the bathrooms and windows.  Make sure the yard is looking good - that's the basics -- curb appeal.  A fresh coat of paint is a great idea and be sure to chose a neutral color.  If you can not repaint at least touch up spots that need to be touched up.  People want a move in ready home.
