Jazz In The Park Concert Series And Treme Crab Festival
Get ready for the 11th Annual Jazz in the Park, presented by People United for Armstrong Park (PUfAP)! To kick off this year’s jazz series, PUfAP is joining with its 2 new partners, Budweiser and Morris Bart, to sponsor the Treme Crab Festival. The purpose of the Crab Festival is to raise funds both for the Covenant House Sleep Out Against Homelessness Campaign and for the Thursday Jazz in the Park Concert Series. The Crab Festival takes place on March 30 - April 2, 2017 and features restaurants serving delicious crab dishes such as crab and crawfish mac and cheese, stuffed and boiled crabs, crab ravioli and much more. Please see the list of restaurants and dishes at the following link: http://www.pufap.org/uploads/6/9/9/7/69974377/jazz_in_the_park_crab_fest___concert_series_lineup_announcement.pdf. There will be a free concert in Armstrong Park on the opening day of the festival. Then on Saturday, March 31, two internationally famous jazz musicians, Michael Franks and Roy Ayers, will perform from 6 PM - 9:30 PM. This concert requires you to purchase tickets.
