Whats Cookin With CASA
CASA New Orleans (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children, is a program that first began in 1977 and was so successful that soon many judges across the United States were utilizing citizen advocates. In 1985 Judge Salvadore Mule brought CASA to New Orleans Louisiana. It was the first CASA Program in the state and has since grown to serve thousands of children under the jurisdiction of the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court. Every Advocate is a regular citizen like you. A volunteer appointed by the court and trained in how to advocate for neglected and abused children in the foster care and family court systems.
To celebrate it's success over the past 30 years, CASA is hosting a special event:
"What's Cookin' with CASA" on November 19, 2015 at The Cannery in New Orleans.
The event includes; Chef Demonstration, Mixologist Competition, Music & Silent Auction.
Come join the fun and support a wonderful cause. See you there!
