Lovers of classical music, this is for you!  On January 5, 2018 at 7:30pm, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will present Romance and Fantasy, a compilation of compositions inspired by romance. The program includes Max Bruch’s romantic and delightful Scottish Fantasy; this violin concerto is played by acclaimed violinist Ray Chen. Playing since the age of 4, Chen has won various competitions and prizes including first place in 2009 at the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels, Belgium. Image title

The program also includes performances of Joaquín Turina’s Danzas fantásticas and Sergei Prokofiev’s Suite from Romeo and Juliet, and it will take place in the First Baptist Church at 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433.
