Monaco’s official ballet company, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, presents a fascinating interpretation of Romeo and Juliet at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts on February 24, 2018 at 8 PM. The theater is located at 1419 Basin Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays that involves the tragic ending for 2 young lovers from feuding families. This original interpretation is choreographed by  Jean Christophe Maillot with the musical score by Prokofiev. The play opens with a despondent Friar Lawrence trying to understand this senseless tragedy. You will experience the entire play but with a twist, watching the events unfold through the Friar’s viewpoint. To purchase tickets, click the following link:  https://www1.ticketmaster.com/presented-by-noba-ballets-de-montecarlo-new-orleans-louisiana-02-24-2018/event/1B005325F38DA3C5?artistid=803498&majorcatid=10002&minorcatid=12#efeat4212.
