Don’t miss all the fun to be had at the 46th annual Strawberry Festival on April 13-15, 2018! The Strawberry Festival began in 1972 as a street party with a small parade. It has grown steadily and now attracts thousands of people from all over Louisiana and beyond. The festivities take place in Memorial Park, where you can enjoy strawberries in all shapes, sizes, and styles, including strawberry pie, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry daiquiris, strawberry wine, or just plain strawberries. In addition, you can expect live music, midway rides, games and delicious food. The Strawberry Auction takes place on Saturday, April 1, when you can bid on “The Best of the Best” from ribbon winning strawberries. There is also a 1-mile fun walk called The Strawberry Strut that takes place on Sunday, April 15. All Festival vendors work for nonprofit groups and use the proceeds to benefit their cause.
