Kick Off Mardi Gras At Family Gras In Metairie

Start celebrating Mardi Gras early with the 11th annual Family Gras, a festival that takes place on the neutral ground of Veterans Boulevard right across the street from the Lakeside Shopping Center on Friday and Saturday, February 2-3, 2018! This year’s Family Gras will only last 2 days instead of the traditional 3 days because Superbowl Sunday falls on February 4.

An exciting festival is planned with a spectacular musical lineup including Cyndi Lauper, John Batiste, John Oates and more. The festival is designed for everyone to have a great time and includes great entertainment, delicious New Orleans cuisine, local art and a Kids’ Court where children can enjoy face painting and playing games.
