NOLA Celebrates Carnaval Latino September 30

Get ready for Carnaval Latino, to be held on September 30, 2017 at the Sugarmill, 1021 Convention Center Blvd. in New Orleans. The festival is presented by the Hispanic-American Musicians and Artists Cultural Association during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) and showcases various aspects of Hispanic culture, including music, dance, food and art. This family-friendly festival that began 18 years ago is free and will help you learn about the rich heritage of the Latino culture in New Orleans. Carnaval Latino features a parade, live music by musicians from all over the world, delicious Latin food including gorditas, tacos, fajitas and much more. Artwork including paintings and sculpture will be on display, along with a variety of vendors’ booths selling arts and crafts, food and clothing. This will be the fifth year for the parade, known as The Parade of the Americas and consists of marching bands and floats.The parade typically starts at Convention Center Boulevard and goes through the Warehouse District, turns left onto Canal Street and ends up back at the Sugarmill on Convention Center Blvd.  For additional information, follow this link:
