Blues fans, get ready for some fantastic music at the 12th annual Crescent City Blues and Barbecue Festival, presented by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation! The Festival will be held on October 13-15, 2017 at Lafayette Square Park, 540 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130. Admission is free and the hours are 5 PM-8:30 PM on Friday and 11 AM-8:30 PM on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15. Headliners will be Grammy winners Robert Cray and Bobby Rush of Louisiana, who recently won his first Grammy at age 83. Along with these 2 headliners, there will be musicians representing blues styles such as juke joint, sleek soul, soulful gospel, guitar burners and others. Some of the featured musicians include Freddie King, Como Mamas, Walter “Wolfman” Washington and many, many more. The Festival kicks off with Deacon John’s Jump Blues and Luther Kent & Trick Bag on Friday, October 13 beginning at 5:30 PM.
