If you are a dog enthusiast, then set your calendars for August 2-5, 2018 for the fascinating Lagniappe Classic Dog Show, presented by the Louisiana Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club (AKC). The Lagniappe Classic Dog Show will take place at Pontchartrain Center, 4545 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA. Established in 1916 to promote the welfare of pure-bred dogs, the Louisiana Kennel Club is one of the oldest “all breed” clubs in Louisiana. Watch as your favorite pure-bred dogs compete with others and are judged according to the standards of that particular breed. There will be more than 1,000 dogs from 190 breeds and awards are given daily for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show. For additional information, please see the website at
