Take a break from TV and enjoy live theater instead at Playmakers, Inc. in Covington, LA.! Playmakers, Inc. is a non-profit, all-volunteer theater and one of the oldest community theaters in the U.S. Playmakers was originally organized in 1955 but was temporarily closed down when a fire destroyed the old building. Since its existence, the theater has consistently presented approximately 4 plays per season. This season, All the King’s Men is scheduled for performances on March 2-18, 2018. The play is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Robert Penn Warren and follows the rise and fall of the main character Willie Stark who began as an honest politician but becomes a very corrupt tyrant.
