Get ready to shout "Stella!" Fans of Tennessee Williams, get ready for the 32nd annual Tennessee Williams Literary Festival, scheduled for March 21-25, 2018!  USA Today named this popular festival one of the 10 top festivals in the U.S. and also received the LA Governor’s Art Award for Outstanding Nonprofit Arts Organization in 2008. The festival celebrates the famous playwright who loved New Orleans and expects 130 authors, actors and musicians to serve as speakers, master class instructors and contestants in drama, poetry, fiction and a new category short fiction. Women of Williams (WOW!) is a special event this year with discussions of Tennessee Williams’ unforgettable women characters, such as Blanche DuBois and Maggie the Cat. For other discussions and conferences, see the schedule at the following link: http://tennesseewilliams.net/festival/schedule/. The highlight of the festival is the Stella-shouting contest from Williams’ renowned play A Streetcar Named Desire.
