Slidell 14th Annual Crawfish Cook Off
The Northshore boasts the largest crawfish festival ever with Slidell’s 14th Annual Crawfish Cook-Off to be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11 AM till 6 PM at Fritchie Park in Slidell. This annual event takes place each year at the peak of crawfish season. You will see 60 teams competing for the title of “Best Crawfish in St. Tammany Parish”. By the end of the festival, the teams will have cooked as many as 45,000 pounds of crawfish and after you pay the admission fee, you will be able to eat as many crawfish as you wish. Sponsored by the Hospice Foundation of the South, this event helps the Foundation in its mission to provide medical and emotional support to terminally ill patients. Their support extends to the indigent, who cannot afford this service without assistance. By the way, this is the only hospice house in St. Tammany Parish. See the link that follows for additional information on the Hospice Foundation of the South: http://hospicefoundationofthesouth.org/about/ If you would like to purchase tickets, go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/14th-annual-crawfish-cookoff-tickets-27354561229.
