If you love history and art, don’t miss seeing the Historic New Orleans Collection, situated in 10 historic buildings on 2 campuses. This huge complex is composed of 2 French Quarter campuses: one is the Royal Street campus at 533 Royal Street and the other is the Chartres Street campus at 400 and 410 Chartres Street. The Royal Street campus is the main headquarters that houses the Louisiana History Galleries and also where permanent exhibits, such as the Williams Gallery are located. The Chartres Street campus is the location of the Williams Research Center along with other remarkable galleries.Whether you are a professional scholar or just interested in learning about life in New Orleans over the last 300 years, you are welcome to access the information in the Williams Research Center to see more than 500,000 photographs, drawings, prints and other collectibles. You may visit the Royal Street campus on Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM till 4:30 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM till 4:30 PM. The Chartres Street campus is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM till 4:30 PM.  Both guided and unguided tours are available.
