If you suffer from allergies but still love flowers, there are some flowers less irritating than others. The source of the problem is pollen, and the higher the content of pollen, the more irritating the flower or plant is. The worst flowers are those whose pollen is carried by the wind. This group includes daisies, asters, sunflowers, chrysanthemums and chamomile. Fortunately, there are a couple of pollen-free varieties of sunflowers, Apricot Twister and Joker whose pollen is too heavy to become air-borne. Baby’s breath is another plant that causes much distress to allergy sufferers, but now, thankfully, there is a two-flowered variety available with very small amounts of pollen.

There is, however, good news because there are many beautiful flowers for you to enjoy such as hibiscus, geranium, zinnia, pansy, orchid and others.
